A Meeting Point to Shift Online Behaviors
The Data Detox Bar is a meeting point in exhibitions and events for visitors to take control of their data privacy, digital security, and online wellbeing. Key features of the Data Detox Bar are:

- Welcoming hosts who are ready to engage in conversations with visitors
- Stools for visitors to sit down and follow the Data Detox tips

The Data Detox Bar invites visitors to have discussions about digital topics in an analogue space, creating a truly unique experience. Staying true to the Data Detox Kit, the Data Detox Bar also provides a variety of simple and non-judgmental tips and tricks to help visitors navigate tech more confidently.

The Data Detox Bar is an important addition to exhibition spaces, first emerging in 2016 at The Glass Room: New York to giveaway the Data Detox Kit and to start conversations with visitors. It was then further developed at The Glass Room: London in 2017, and featured as a central meeting point in The Glass Room: San Francisco in 2019.

In 2021, the Data Detox Bar was redesigned as a self-guided resource wall at The Glass Room in Dresden which was hosted by the Deutsches Hygiene-Museum and at Reclaim the Internet hosted by Mozilla in Berlin in 2023.

Various pop-up versions of the Data Detox Bar have emerged over the years from Norway to Sweden and beyond—inspiring visitors to rethink and shift their online behaviors.
